Short Works: BBC Radio 4

My specially commissioned story, ‘Ava Unfurled’, unfolds inside the storerooms of a museum where a recently bereaved woman finds an unexpected connection to her lost lover in the artworks she’s now taking out of storage.

This story attempts to inhabit the space of certain artworks to think about grief and catharsis, in particular the works of Doris Salcedo, Susan Philipsz and Felix Gonzalez-Torres.
